DGT-Run
DGT-Run is a Team only event consisting of Pairs
Male, Female and Mixed Categories will be accepted
All entrants must be 18 years or older on Race Day
Limited to 50 teams only.
Both runners of a team will be required to complete their own online entry form with personal details and experience (as listed below) and teammate’s name.
The team’s application will be considered once both forms have been received.
Trail running/ ultra-running/ endurance event experience (not only racing but also FKT experience)
Any mountain experience
Reasons for wanting to attempt the race
Entries will open *****
In order to host a run like this it takes a huge amount of planning / negotiations / safety & evacuation plans / logistics / tracking & communications / volunteers. Therefore, for us to go ahead with staging the event, we need a minimum of 20 teams (40 runners). We will keep the FB page updated with the entry status over the coming weeks and will make the final call at the end of February if it will proceed based on the entries received. So, if you would like to do the DGT Run 2024, you need to enter in the coming weeks to ensure we reach the required minimum number. Upon entry, we will require a deposit of R1,000 which will go towards your entry fee if the event goes ahead or be fully refunded if it does not proceed.

Permissions from Local Lesotho Chiefs, Lesotho Tourism, Ezemvelo KZN parks, Maloti Drakensberg Transfrontier programme, SA / Lesotho Border controls
A fully supported Race Route in terms of Safety, Medical and Logistics
GPS live-tracking of every runner
A GPX track of the route
One Aid Station
6 Marshall points - including safe zones for resting/ sleeping
One 4-person Tent per Team at the Finish Line Village
Drop-bag shuttle from the Start to the Finish (limited to 2 Bags per Team)
Finisher’s Meal
Finisher’s Medal, Memento and Garment
Awards Ceremony on the Friday

Refunds
70% Refund (of total entry fee) possible up until ***** (3 months before the event date) following a written notification of withdrawal.
Medical Withdrawals/ Rollovers
Will be accepted with a valid Doctors certificate. These will be refunded at the 70% rate or rolled over to ***** with a 5% admin fee.
Substitutions
If one of the runners in the team needs to withdraw and be replaced with someone else, this runner will need to go through the same application process/ training camp/ qualification as the initial team members for the substitution to be successful.
Substitutions will incur a R500 admin fee.
If the whole team is wanting to withdraw please to refer to the refund policy.
Substitutions will only be possible up until the ******.
National Restrictions Cancellation
If the event is forced to cancel for National Restrictions related reasons prior to ***** then the 70% refund will be paid out.
If the event is forced to cancel for National Restrictions related reasons after ***** then all entrants will be rolled over to **** with a 5% admin fee.
Any international athlete who is unable to travel due to Travel Bans or restrictions will be allowed the option of a rollover to ****.
