Passports and Immigration


 

As DGT-Run traverses both Lesotho and South Africa, all runners will need to be processed through Immigration. The details of this process will be communicated prior to the event but all runners will require a Valid Passport.
South African passport holders do not require a visa.

International athletes will need to check the particular Visa Requirements between their country and Lesotho and obtain a Visa if necessary.

Travel Links


 

The closest International Airport is King Shaka International, approximately 4 hours drive from both the Start and Finish Locations of the DGT-Run. Car hire and transfers are available from the Airport and the Event can arrange a Race Shuttle should there be sufficient demand. 

Registration


 

Registration will take place from ***** at Witsieshoek Mountain Lodge.

All runners will be required to produce proof of ID and complete the Compulsory Gear and Medical Check before being allowed to Register. No Late Registration will be accepted and both members of each Team must be present together for Registration. 

A comprehensive Race Briefing Document will be emailed to all entrants and the Race Director will verbally brief the pack before the start.

Car Shuttles


 

The drive from the Start at Sentinel Car Park to the Finish at Bushman’s Nek is 420km (6 hours).

The Event will look to source drivers for hire to get private vehicles from the Start to the Finish.

Accommodation and Meals - Start


 

Registration is ******.

Accommodation and meals at Witsieshoek Mountain Lodge for ***** will be for the runners own cost. Bookings will be available via the race organisers. Runners are welcome to find accommodation elsewhere for the Sunday night.

Accommodation and Meals - Finish


 

All Teams will be allocated a 4-Man tent at the Finish Line Village at Bushman’s Nek (Silverstreams Holiday Resort), included in the race entry fee and available from Wednesday to Saturday morning. Runners will need to supply their own bedding. This can be left at the Start and brought to the Finish with the Drop-Bag Shuttle.

Self-catering cottages are also available at the finish venue.

Runners will receive a hearty meal at the finish. Other meals and drinks will be available from the Event Kitchen for runners, spectators and supporters on a cash basis.

All other accommodation and meals need to be booked and planned by the athletes themselves. We are happy to advise options in the area.

Awards Dinner


 

An Awards Ceremony will be held on the afternoon/evening of ****** where all Finishers and the podium winners will be acknowledged. An Awards Ceremony ticket is included in the Entry Fee. Additional Awards tickets will be available to purchase online closer to the event.
